Hi everyone,

Some of you have been wondering how to find the iFrame export options or how to handle the transition for your legacy custom views while activating the new experience. Let’s clear things up and look at current best practices and the upcoming roadmap.

1. What happens to my old iFrame codes?

Your existing embeds will keep working. If you have already embedded an iFrame code from a legacy custom view or dataset onto a third-party website, it will continue to function normally.

However, if you need to modify or reshare this element cleanly, the method has changed:

  • You now need to use the "Visualization" asset.
  • Use the new sharing code found in the Sharing tab of the visualization page.
  • The giveaway indicator: The generated URL will now look like .../pages/visualisation/?headless=true.

2. iFrame exports in the new interface: where do we stand?

Have you created a highly efficient custom view from the back office, but can't find the option to export it as a widget or iFrame (whether from the back office or the data exploration page)?

🗓️ Roadmap update: direct iFrame export is not yet available in the new interface. Our teams are actively working on it, and this feature is scheduled for next quarter.

Workarounds to export your visuals today

While you wait for this feature to land, we won't leave you hanging! Here are two great alternatives to generate your embed codes right now:

🛠️ Alternative A: via Studio pages

You can centralize your elements into a Studio page and easily embed it onto your third-party site.

  • How to do it? Go to your Studio page, open the "Share" (or "Export") menu, and you will find the ready-to-use embed code to copy and paste onto your website.

📊 Alternative B: via the Graph or Map Builder

Need to share a specific chart or map? The Graph and Map Builders have their own built-in generator. You can build your visualization and generate the iFrame directly from the tool.
