A few of you have asked about custom basemaps since moving to the new experience, so here's a quick clarification.
🗺️ What's supported today
Custom basemaps you've configured on your domain still work the same way: raster basemaps are supported across the new maps (Studio, Custom Views, Explorer).
⚠️ What's not supported yet
- WMS basemaps are not currently supported on the new maps, they won't appear in the basemap list.
- In the Explorer specifically, switching between your configured basemaps isn't available yet: only the default basemap is shown. This is possible in Studio and Custom Views, where you can already pick from your configured basemaps.
🔧 Workaround
If you need a specific basemap on a given dataset today, build a Custom View or Studio map with the basemap of your choice.
