By redesigning their Open Data Exchange around user-friendly maps, visual dashboards, and plain-language insights, they saw engagement jump from 6,000 visitors in 2023 to over 30,000 in the first six months of 2026!

🥑 Community food resource directory: connecting residents directly to free and low-cost food support services across the municipality.

🏛️ Councillor transparency page: clear breakdowns of council decisions, meeting attendance, and voting history so you can stay informed.

🏗️ Self-service permits: building permit data is now downloaded around 9,000 times a month, giving fast answers to residents while freeing up council staff for complex queries.
Built on the Huwise platform, the next phase will expand environmental/community datasets, enhance spatial analytics, and explore AI-enabled discovery under the Smart Casey strategy.
