The West of England Combined Authority publishes its open data on a Huwise portal. Two of its dashboards show how a public body can turn raw datasets into tools that residents, analysts and decision-makers can use directly.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Dashboard
This dashboard breaks down territorial emissions of CO₂, methane and N₂O by local authority, sector and sub-sector. It also shows the emissions that fall within each local authority's scope of influence. Population and area figures sit alongside the emissions data, so you can compare territories of different sizes fairly.
Domestic Energy Performance (EPC) Dashboard
This dashboard brings together nearly 344,000 domestic Energy Performance Certificates issued across the West of England since 2012. You can filter by property type, tenure, construction age, heating and fuel type. You can also compare current and potential energy ratings, energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
Both dashboards take published datasets and add the context people need to read them: breakdowns by area and sector, comparison metrics, and filters.
